Named after Arka, the sun, Arkaya sits high in the forest above Mukteshwar with every space turned north towards the snow line. The estate runs on solar energy, composts its waste and treats water as a scarce mountain resource. There is an orchard of apple, plum, peach, persimmon and walnut, and an in-house mandir for guests who want it.
